Job Title: Credentialing Specialist

Location: Brooklyn NY (On-Site)

Duration: 8 Weeks Contract
Shift: 09:00 AM -05:00 PM

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to manage and oversee all aspects of provider credentialing and privileging. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining accurate and up-to-date credentialing records for medical staff and allied health professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational analytical and compliance expertise in a healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage initial credentialing re-credentialing and privileging processes for healthcare providers
• Perform credential audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Utilize credentialing systems (e.g. MDStaff or similar platforms) to track provider data and background verifications
• Maintain accurate and complete credentialing records and documentation
• Ensure adherence to hospital bylaws corporate policies and accrediting body standards
• Interpret and apply applicable laws regulations and credentialing guidelines
• Collaborate with internal departments and medical staff offices
• Monitor expirations renewals and follow-up requirements for provider credentials

Required Qualifications

• Experience in provider credentialing medical staff services or healthcare administration
• Strong understanding of credentialing processes privileging and compliance standards
• Experience with credentialing software (MDStaff preferred or equivalent systems)
• Proven ability to conduct audits and ensure data accuracy
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
