Job Description

Overview:

$19.35/ hour  

 

This is a vacant position. Candidates must be a minimum age of 18 year s .

 

Joining our Canada’s Wonderland team means you’ll commit to providing a safe and secure environment for all guests and associates.  

 

You’ll also… 

  • Provide primary health assessment and emergency first aid to ill or injured guests and associates .  
  • Utilize a park vehicle and respond to dispatched first aid calls throughout the park .  
  • Complete documentation of all treated individuals and conduct patient follow-up phone calls.  
  • Follow up with department managers on safety-related concerns.  
  • Provide WSIB information to associates as needed.  
  • Complete safety inspections throughout the park.
  • Re-stock the park’s First Aids kits.  
  • Have other opportunities to learn and expand your knowledge .

Qualifications:
  • You! 
  • A current / recent member of an Emergency First Response Team, with a minimum of 1-year practical experience and/or a Paramedic student or recent graduate  
  • Candidates that have current advanced First Aid Certification (Emergency Medical Responder level) 
  • Knowledgeable on airway management, oxygen therapy, defibrillation, and symptom relief skills  
  • Candidates that have a valid Ontario Driver’s License (G /G2) with a clean driver’s abstract  
  • Someone with excellent communication, technical, presentation and problem-solving skills  
  • Individuals with s trong physical ability ( heavy lifting including ability to lift patients on stretchers, carry equipment bags, and oxygen tanks ) 
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work weekends from September to December
