FAR Inspections is hiring an Inspector Coordinator to support a roster of independent inspectors working mortgage field service orders across the country.
About the work
When a homeowner falls behind on a mortgage, the loan servicer needs confirmation that the property is still occupied. Independent inspectors visit the address, document what they find, and submit a report. National field service companies route those orders to inspection providers like us, and we route the work out to inspectors in the field. The Inspector Coordinator keeps that flow moving for an assigned territory.
What the role involves
Most of your day is spent in our inspection management platform watching open orders and identifying ones at risk of going late. You will be in Slack with inspectors throughout the day to pull status updates, answer questions, and confirm completion. Client emails come in regularly asking for updates on specific orders, and you'll respond to those. When an inspector cannot complete an order in their assigned area, you will send the work to a backup inspector. Phone calls come in from inspectors who hit issues in the field and need help working through them. You will keep records updated in our systems as work moves through the pipeline.
Required skills and experience
Above average proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. You will work with sorts, filters, lookups, and basic formulas on a regular basis.
A demonstrated track record of picking up new software quickly is required. The day-to-day toolset includes InspectorADE, Forms.com, several client portals, Slack, and Outlook. Prior experience with our specific tools is not expected, but you should be someone who learns new platforms without lengthy ramp-up.
Strong written communication. Slack and email are where most of the work happens.
The ability to track a high volume of open items at once without things being missed.
A calm, professional manner when the workload spikes or unexpected issues come up.
Reliable home internet and a quiet space to work from.
Preferred backgrounds
Two or more years in a coordinator, dispatch, or operations role where you supported a roster of independent contractors, field workers, or vendors. Strong candidate backgrounds include property management or leasing, insurance adjuster dispatch or claims coordination, disaster restoration coordination, staffing agency coordination (light industrial or healthcare per diem in particular), real estate transaction coordination, or restaurant or hotel operations. Prior mortgage field services experience is welcome but not required.
Compensation and schedule
$50,000 annual salary, W-2, paid biweekly. Paid time off included. Standard business hours Monday through Friday in your local time zone, plus a 3 to 4 hour coverage shift one weekend day. Health insurance is not provided.
To apply
Submit your resume along with a short note describing your most recent role and the type of contractors, vendors, or field workers you supported.
