Instructional Designer

Location: Hoboken, NJ (Onsite)

HCLTech is seeking a talented Instructional Designer with strong experience in Education, Learning & Development, EdTech, Higher Education, K-12, Corporate Training, or Digital Learning environments to design engaging and impactful learning experiences. This role is ideal for professionals who excel at transforming complex information into learner-friendly content and creating interactive training programs for diverse audiences.

What You'll Do

• Analyze learning needs and identify performance or knowledge gaps.
• Develop clear learning objectives and measurable training outcomes.
• Design, develop, and maintain instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning programs.
• Create storyboards, scripts, assessments, simulations, and interactive learning experiences.
• Develop multimedia learning content using audio, video, animation, and graphic design tools.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to translate complex concepts into engaging educational content.
• Publish and manage courses through Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Track learner progress and course completion using SCORM, xAPI, or AICC standards.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through learner feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
• Continuously improve learning content based on analytics and stakeholder feedback.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Articulate Storyline 360
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Audio, Video, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)
• Expertise in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
• Experience developing eLearning, instructor-led, and blended learning programs
• Strong storyboard development, script writing, and content creation skills
• SCORM
• xAPI (Tin Can)
• AICC
• Experience measuring learning effectiveness and training outcomes
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing learning content.
• Portfolio showcasing eLearning modules, storyboards, multimedia content, and instructional design projects.

Experience building large-scale learning solutions for students, educators, or academic institutions is highly desirable.
