Job Overview
The Pallet Repair Technician inspects and repairs pallets to make sure they are safe, clean, and meet quality standards. This role requires working safely, staying productive, and being reliable every day.
Key Responsibilities
Safety
· Follow all safety rules and wear PPE (gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, etc.)
· Check tools and equipment before use
· Report any unsafe conditions or injuries right away
· Keep work area clean and organized
Pallet Repair
· Repair pallets by replacing broken boards and parts
· Use tools like nail guns, hammers, and saws
· Make sure pallets are sturdy, aligned, and free of damage
· Follow proper nail patterns and repair standards
· Remove debris like plastic or cardboard from pallets
· Mark completed pallets as required
Quality
· Meet quality expectations (95% or higher)
· Ensure no loose or exposed nails
· Report any ongoing material or defect issues
Attendance & Teamwork
· Show up on time and ready to work
· Stay productive throughout the shift
· Work with team members to meet production goals
· Help with sorting, stacking, or cleanup as needed
End of Shift
· Clean work area and remove debris
· Store tools properly
· Report any issues or material shortages
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Experience with tools or pallet repair is a plus
· Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and stand for long periods
· Strong attention to detail and safety
· Reliable and team-oriented
