Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 year of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital and/or retail pharmacy setting (chain experience preferred). Applicants must hold a High School Diploma or GED, be licensed to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the New York State Education Department (NYSED), and possess active PTCB certification. Candidates must be flexible to work evening and overnight shifts based on operational needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in medication handling, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital and/or retail pharmacy setting.
• Pharmacy dispensing experience. -Sterile Processing experience. -IV room experience.
• Registered Pharmacy Technician by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
• Active PTCB certification.
• COVID card

Duties:

• Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Process prescriptions accurately and manage medication inventory
• Assist customers/patients with prescription inquiries and provide support
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Support daily pharmacy operations, including labeling, packaging, and restocking medications

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in pharmacy software and data entry
• Inventory management and organizational skills
• Team collaboration and adaptability to shift schedules
• Basic understanding of medication names, dosages, and usage
