Job Description

Vultr is seeking an experienced Product Specialist Public Sector Sovereign Cloud (FedRAMP) to spearhead our FedRAMP authorization journey and broader international sovereign cloud strategy.

Vultr is trusted by hundreds of thousands of active customers across 185 countries for its flexible, scalable, global Cloud Compute, Cloud GPU, Bare Metal, and Cloud Storage solutions. In December 2024 Vultr announced an equity financing at a $3.5 billion valuation. Founded by David Aninowsky and self-funded for over a decade, Vultr has grown to become the world’s largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company.

This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require you to bridge the gap between complex federal security controls and scalable engineering execution. You will ensure that every feature we launch not only delights customers but also adheres to the strict "High," "Moderate," or "Tailored" baselines necessary for agency adoption.

This role offers the rare opportunity to solve high stakes security and sovereignty challenges at scale, establishing a compliance posture that builds massive market credibility. This is your opportunity to join our fast growing team and leave your mark on Vultr and the future of Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify products or programs through the FedRAMP (Joint Authorization Board or Agency) authorization process
  • Public Sector Cloud: Identifying secure scalable solutions tailored for US Federal agencies or highly regulated sovereign entities.
  • Ability to ensure product engineering solutions align to and meet NIST SP 800-53, FIPS requirements, and the FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) framework.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to transform customer requirements into innovative technical solutions that meet strict regulatory mandates without sacrificing platform performance or usability
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager Public Sector Compliance to define strategic roadmaps and support full product lifecycle
  • Provide product architectural guidance for Vultr's public sector cloud product roadmap
  • Public Sector Go-To-Market Strategy: Partnering with sales and marketing to support RFPs and Briefings with tailored value propositions for government customers.
  • Customer & Market Requirements Management: Prioritizing needs from government agencies and system integrators into actionable product requirement documents (PRDs).
