Job Description
We are seeking a weekend Warehouse Supervisor for a well known manufacturing company in Farmington, CT. The hours for this position are Saturday and Sunday, 7:00AM-7:30PM (Part Time, 24 hours/week). The hourly pay for this position is $55/hr. Candidate must have experience managing/supervising a warehouse and shipping and receiving environment. Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management - Manage, hire, lead, train, and develop warehouse and material handling personnel in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
- Motivate staff, provide feedback, resolve issues, and recognize performance
- Ensure personnel comply with departmental policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Warehouse & Material Operations - Direct and control shipping, receiving, and material handling activities
- Ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, issuing, and distribution of materials
- Review inbound and outbound documentation (e.g., bills of lading, shipping documents) to plan and prioritize work activities
- Plan and coordinate the movement and transfer of materials within the warehouse and between buildings
- Ensure on-time delivery and proper packaging methods for all shipments
Inventory & Process Management - Establish and maintain procedures for:
- Verification of incoming/outgoing shipments
- Inventory accuracy and control
- Proper handling and disposition of materials
- Maintain cycle count processes and inventory accuracy
- Arrange for disposition or disposal of surplus or obsolete materials
- Direct reclamation of damaged or defective materials
The essential functions of this role include:
