Job Title: TIG/MIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. This position requires the operation and setup of TIG welders, including purging and regulating current and voltage. The successful candidate will work with detailed drawings and instructions and should be prepared to handle parts of varying sizes and weights.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate TIG welders, including purging and regulating current and voltage.
• Select appropriate filler rod type and size for tasks.
• Set up and operate an orbital welder.
• Work according to detailed drawings and instructions.
• Lift and carry parts up to 50 lbs.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction efforts.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks to support the organization.

Essential Skills

• Around 2+ years of TIG welding experience.
• Experience with fabrication, as opposed to production welding.
• Proficiency in TIG/MIG welding and blueprint reading.
• Ability to perform quality inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• ASME Certified with five years of work-related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience in structural welding, pipe welding, and pipe fitting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
