Job Description

Field Service Technician (Commercial Cooking Equipment – Hot Appliances)

Location: Servicing Massachusetts and New Hampshire
Compensation: $28–$44/hour + Full Benefits 

About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading provider of commercial refrigeration and food equipment services, supporting customers across a full commercial kitchen environment. With a long-standing reputation for quality service and strong customer loyalty, they are continuing to grow and are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, service, and install commercial cooking and food preparation equipment
  • Diagnose equipment issues, collect data, and determine appropriate repair solutions
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to identify and source necessary components
  • Communicate with manufacturers to assist in troubleshooting complex issues
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and clearly communicate service recommendations
  • Promote additional service offerings when appropriate

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial equipment repair or related field
  • Experience with gas, electric, plumbing, and/or steam systems
  • Ability to use hand tools for precise mechanical work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work on ladders, roofs, and elevated surfaces
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs as needed
  • Comfortable working with mechanical parts, heated surfaces, and varying environmental conditions
