Job Description

The University Advancement Office (UAO) supports NTU’s giving mission by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists, alumni, business community partners, corporations that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research that underpin a shared sustainable future.

The candidate will serve as a key partner to our frontline fundraisers – co-creating compelling donor proposals and presentation decks that articulate big ideas, showcase institutional strengths, and inspire giving at the highest levels. The candidate will distil funding propositions and translate them into persuasive narratives and visually engaging presentations, influencing major gifts decisions.

The candidate is also required to lead in orchestrating bespoke donor cultivation experiences -- from curating campus visits to tailored engagement events -- designed to deepen donor interest. In addition, excellent communication skills, the ability to deliver to tight deadlines through effective prioritisation, and motivation to shape donor journeys and support meaningful change are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and/or finnese comprehensive gift proposals and pitch materials for major gifts prospects that translate faculty/University requirements and donor interests into compelling funding opportunities.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and Faculty/Academic administrators to gather relevant programme, financial, and impact data for inclusion in proposals.

  • Develop presentation materials that enhance Major Gifts team’s effectiveness and maintain consistent NTU messaging.

  • Establish and maintain a depository of proposal templates, case studies, institutional data, and best practices for use by the Major Gifts team.

  • Design, plan, coordinate, and execute cultivation events/engagement sessions that support the solicitation process and strengthen donor relationships. This includes managing event logistics and working with internal stakeholders to execute these events.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 - 7 years’ experience preferably in higher education (or a comparably complex organization), involving a range of senior stakeholders.

  • Knowledge and familiarity with fundraising, philanthropy, advancement, or related sectors would be highly advantageous.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex and diverse relationships and the proven ability to operate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

  • Prior experience in the execution of a range of professional events would be highly advantageous.

  • Excellent written communication skills with extensive experience in developing business cases, proposals and presentations.

  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and work under pressure.

  • Sound acumen and strong professional presence as well as a collegial working style that promotes teamwork, creativity and open communication.

  • Excellent ability to innovate and deal with ambiguity and organisational sensitivity with tact and diplomacy; to be opportunistic, responsive, resourceful, and resilient.

We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
